Beach Restroom

Somebody called the police on me while I was shooting this image. They police were up set that I was taking a picture of a restroom and even went as far to tell me that they never heard of anyone taking pictures at night. It wasn't the best experience but I still got this image out of it.

Beach Parking

This is the first image I have ever taken where I didn’t have to edit. I didn’t have to bring out the awesome powers of photoshop. It’s a little on the warm side but it didn’t have the same feel when I color corrected it, so I just left it alone, this is the original capture. I wish they were all like this one.

Check Cashing

I had a really hard time color balancing this image and I’m not sure about this edit either. I see the images potential in my mind but I have been having a hard time creating it in Photoshop. I also have to check that I’m not editing information away.

Abandoned Gas Station

I have been getting some feedback that the images look too illustrated but I like that affect. I like when an image is close to looking surreal, I like the lies photos tell. But I still want to make sure I find a good balance.

The Night photography book that I'm currently reading suggest to play with different color balances, My camera was set on shade and I got this red sky and i thought it look good with the green garage.

The House On Elm Street

This is a house on my block. In photoshop there isn't any banning in the clouds not sure if that's due to color space or low rez file. I also think there has been a color shift.
