Out of the Comfort Zone
I’m organizing a photo contest (with friends) and I had to design a poster for it. I thought I was done with the poster two days ago but when I got home last night and stared at it for a while I was like this is crap. So I started all over and didn’t get to sleep till 3:30am. Which is not easy for me I go to bed at 11pm I have old man tendencies. I much happier with the second poster and I didn’t realize how hard graphic design can be. I’m excited that I get these opportunities that take me out of my comfort zone and push me to challenge myself.

A New Photo Project
The American Asylum is a new photo project I’m working on. It’s a straitjacket made out of the American flag. It’s still in the early stages. Right now I’m just doing test shoots and figuring out my ideas.
I had a straight jacket made out of the American flag to represent my feelings on gay marriage in California. But the jacket fit so many different scenarios for so many different Americans I knew I had to keep building ideas around it. This is from a test shoot I did when I got it. Jacket made by Christian Lastra.
